Kerry and Putin Meet To Discuss Situation in Syria
Meeting day after Putin said Obama was right to cancel APEC
BALI, Indonesia —Secretary of State John F. Kerry and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for 15 minutes on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum here, focusing mostly on the ongoing crisis in Syria, a senior State Department official said.
Kerry is leading the U.S. delegation to APEC, after the federal government shutdown prompted President Obama to cancel his plans to attend.
