Pope Francis: Global Economic System Focused on God of Money
No work, no dignity, he says
Pope Francis made one of his strongest attacks on the global economic system on Sunday, saying it could no longer be based on a "god called money" and urged the unemployed to fight for work.
Francis, at the start of a day-long trip to the Sardinian capital, Cagliari, put aside his prepared text at a meeting with unemployed workers, including miners in hard hats who told him of their situation, and improvised for nearly 20 minutes.

I believe we need a money speech here. Where are you D'Anconia?
The pope is confused; *he's* the idiot with the imaginary friend.
Dear Pope... convert some of the wealth of your Church into alms for the poor or hire them and pay them a "fair wage" before you try to get others to solve the problem for you, ok?
Ayn, Francisco, Dagny, John, Henry and all the others in The Other Book could make much better arguments than the pope has. His knowledge of money and economics, if increased exponentially, would still be below zero.
Such a shame, as so many people trust and believe him on so many things.
If there's any philosophical breakdown here, it's his confusion of "money" with "greed." Even his Book points out that it's the LOVE of money that's not good... "money" is neither good nor bad. It just is.
The way people TREAT it seems to cause many of the issues he's not addressing at all.
