Clintons Endorse Bill de Blasio for Mayor of New York

Now that the Democratic primary is over

Bill de Blasio has loyal friends in high places: Former president Bill Clinton and secretary of State Hillary Clinton made their fondness for him known today. "Bill de Blasio has been a friend to both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton for many years," said their spokespeople in a joint statement. "They were proud to see him run a thoughtful, creative campaign about the issues, and they are behind him as he moves on to the general election as the Democratic nominee."
