Sen. Corker and Rep. Engel Call for Military Response to Suspected Chemical Attack in Syria
Unlike Engel, Corker wants Obama to ask Congress to authorize intervention
Top lawmakers on Sunday urged President Obama to take quick action against the Syrian government.
On "Fox News Sunday," Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), the ranking minority member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) pushed for a quick U.S. response to the Syrian government's reported use of chemical weapons though disagreeing on the role Congress should play in that response.
"We have to move, and we have to move quickly," said Engel on U.S. military action, adding that "Congress needs to be involved, but perhaps not initially."

There's no boner like a war boner.
Hi Old Man With Candy,
While respecting War Boners with all the due dis-respect that they deserve? I hear ya, old man? It is kissing cousins with the suicide boner! Please see the below? I am after all the SQRLSy one, re-cycling and bringing back out for re-examining, all those half-forgotten long-ago-buried caches of nuts, after all?

Q: How are Satan and his demons similar to some of these rotten "government servants"?
A: They all get a huge boner when some of us are overcome by their evil, and punch our own tickets! Beware! Don't let them win!

Well, the word "Satan" does come from the Hebrew word for "prosecutor".

Come to think of it? We all know that "war is the health of the State", according to some old geezer from a gabillion years ago. To that I must now add, "And suicide is the health of the State, Also". So let it be said, so let it be written? I hereby prophesy that no more than a few years from now, Government Almighty will declare that it is SOOOO opposed to suicide, that not only will it empower Itself to sic the NSA on our every brain-wave emanating from our scalps, possibly betraying thoughts of self-destruction (read, destruction of a tax-payer, or destruction of a unit of justification of the Welfare State, what else can we be?), Government Almighty will also say, "Well after all, suicide is a crime, the survivors of this criminal act are benefiting from the commission of a crime, we must CONFISCATE the left-behind property, for the public good". I predict it, let it be noted on this day?
"We have to move, and we have to move quickly," said Engel on U.S. military action, adding that "Congress needs to be involved, but perhaps not initially."
Congress not involved initially? Congress not involved initially? And exactly who is to declare this war, congressman? Our king? The CIA? The man behind the curtain? The Islamist "rebels" themselves?
It instills great confidence to know Representative Engel has knowledge of our Constitution at least equal to that of our constitutional law "professor" emperor, His Royal Majesty, the Ayatollah Obama.
What's the worst that can happen...
We need to attack and ask questions later! Or just write legislation
allowing the attack and then after you pass it, you can find out what
is in it.
