Fox News Reporter Back in Court Over James Holmes Source
Holmes's attorneys want to know who leaked to Jana Winter
CENTENNIAL — A Fox News reporter fighting against revealing her sources for a story about the Aurora movie theater shooting was briefly back in court Monday.
Jana Winter's appearance at the hearing was only so that a judge could postpone her subpoena until Sept. 30. That was done in about 60 seconds.
Winter, who is based in New York and who has said the subpoena has caused her great hardship, could have agreed to postpone the subpoena without appearing in court. But, because lawyers for shooter James Holmes have to pay Winter's travel costs while they attempt to put her on the stand, Winter's appearance adds extra difficulty for Holmes' attorneys.
