Christie to Republican Leaders: I'm in This Business To Win
82 days left until New Jersey's next gubernatorial election
BOSTON — With 82 days until his likely reelection as governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie laid out his clearest rationale yet Thursday for an almost-certain 2016 presidential campaign: He can win.
Speaking privately to Republican leaders here for the party's summer meeting, he touted his crossover appeal and presented himself as the party's most electable option to win back the White House in 2016.

Why would repubs want him elected?
I can see the GOP buying that "crossover appeal" line.
'cause he has an "R" next to his name, duh. Better our statist, collectivist d-bag than their statist, collectivist d-bag.
An agenda to build "crossover appeal" would explain a lot of his recent big-government d-baggery. Go ahead GOP - hitch your wagons to this guy and once again give another 4-8 years to the dems with a big pretty bow on top. pardon the mixed metaphors. Hillary will definitely throw her hat into the ring against this buffoon.
