Weiner Campaign Apologizes for Tirade About Intern
Used rather derogatory terms
The Anthony Weiner campaign was showing signs of major strain Tuesday night, as the New York City mayoral candidate's spokeswoman issued an apology for an expletive-filled, derogatory tirade against a former intern who wrote about her time on Team Weiner.
The apology from Barbara Morgan came after Talking Points Memo reporter Hunter Walker wrote up her screed, which included several comments that were lewd and derogatory to women. Morganwas trashing a piece in the New York Daily News by a former campaign intern, Olivia Nuzzi.
