Trayvon Martin's Mother Calls for Action Against 'Stand Your Ground' Laws

Which had nothing whatsoever to do with her son's death

PHILADELPHIA — The mother of slain teenager Trayvon Martin told a National Urban League gathering in Philadelphia on Friday to use her tragedy to stop the same thing from happening to another child and she blamed Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law for allowing her son's killer to go free.

Sybrina Fulton issued a call to action against "Stand Your Ground" self-defense laws and told the audience that she believes God is using her and her family to make a difference.

She said she was heartened that her message is getting through when, on the way to the civil rights organization's annual conference, she handed a card bearing her son's photograph to a driver and he told her, "That's my son, too."

This SYG bullshit is a prime example of the concept that a lie only needs to be repeated enough for it to be accepted as truth.

For all the talk about being the party of intellectualism and science, any attempt to explain to self-identified liberals how this case had nothing to do with SYG makes the cast of Idiocracy seem passably smart by comparison.

I watched in horror as the media and the liberal machine played virtually all my friends on facebook (and my family) like fiddles when they started decimating their propaganda about how other people in Florida got 20 years to life for "similar" self defense claims.

Naturally, without doing any research into the circumstances surrounding the individual cases they ate it up and came to the conclusion that SYG is just Jim Crow.

Now that we have emotionally stable intellectuals preaching to us about the dangers of self defense, I'm certain that real change is just around the corner. And, given that grief apparently imparts a gnosis of legal and moral superiority when addressing those whose rights you intend to violate, I'm strongly considering murdering the two most dispensable members of my family to gain even greater moral understanding than Martin's parents or the CT advocates of gun bans.

The only point of confusion is why this fine individual who raised such an upstanding young man limited herself to only one demsoc talking point that is irrelevant to the case. Is she too busy to take on climate change or childhood obesity?
