First Player From Cuban National Baseball Team Defects While In Iowa For Exhibition Games
Misael Siveiro has a 1.70 ERA
After only being in the United States for a few hours, Cuban baseball player Misael Siverio, 24, did not waste any time leaving the National Team, deciding to defect.
The Cuban team is in Iowa playing some exhibition games against U.S. colleges starting Thursday. The lefty with the help of some friends left the hotel where the team was staying Tuesday around 10 p.m.
