Teacher's Aide Accused of Having Child with Underage Student
Teen was 16 when she allegedly began affair
SAN DIMAS, Calif. (KTLA) — A local teacher's aide was free on bail Friday after being arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student that resulted in a child.
Mandy Morales, 31, had worked at the McKinley Children's Center, Canyon View School in San Dimas since 2004.
She was no longer an employee, school officials said.
Morales was arrested on Wednesday at her home and booked on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
She allegedly began a two-year affair with the student in 2011, when he was 16 years old, and later gave birth to his child, authorities said.
