Death Valley Rangers Want Visitors to Stop Frying Eggs on Rocks

They make a big mess

Just because it may be hot enough to fry an egg … officials don't want to do it in Death Valley National Park.

Rangers are cracking down on tourists who try to cook up a scrambled, boiled or fried egg feast on the floor because of the mess they leave behind afterward.

Staffers say the sidewalks and parking lots of the California-Nevada attraction are regularly left littered with smashed shells, discarded cartons and yellowy goo.
