To Cut Obamacare Costs, Officials Look To Slash Physician Compensation
And you'll get what you pay for
For Obamacare to succeed, American doctors need to earn less money.
Last week, Washington took a step in that direction. One of Medicare's influential advisory boards recommended that payment rates to providers be sanded down. …
The proposal went well beyond past attempts by the Medicare Commission to try and bring outpatient fees more closely in line with the rates paid to hospitals for the same services. Citing an "increased urgency," the Commission said that the "current payment disparities had created incentives for hospitals to buy physician practices, driving up costs for the Medicare program and for beneficiaries."
This reckoning was inevitable. Physician reimbursement needs to come down to accommodate Obamacare.

Medical school is hard, most can't hack it, and it's expensive. Those that push through have to keep their nose to the grindstone until they're almost 40 years old before they start seeing a paycheck commensurate to this laboriously grueling process. Only a Government that poisons everything it touches can see the wisdom in deincentivizing the effort while simultaneously adding millions more patients to the system overnight. Future patients that come down with an unusual disease that takes real skill and more than fifteen minutes to diagnose can kiss their ass goodbye.
Guess what neighbor to the north has seen doctors with picket signs? Get them signed up SEIU!
