Michigan City Considering Restrictions on Street Performers
Fire juggler has already had his act restricted
Holland —Downtown Holland's Street Performer Series may have become popular enough that new safety restrictions are needed for those who perform.
While those are being discussed, juggler Will Oltman's routine has been restricted and he will not be allowed to juggle his flaming torches during this week's performances.
That decision is likely temporary, however.
In its first two weeks, the Thursday evening crowds for the 2013 series have resembled those of the higher traffic months later in the summer, said Kara de Alvare, interim marketing coordinator for Holland's Principal Shopping District.
