66-Year-Old Brooklyn Man Suing NYC For Wrongful Imprisonment
Seeks $16 million for spending a year in jail for a robbery he didn't commit
A Brooklyn man who spent a year behind bars for an armed robbery he didn't commit is suing the city for $16 million.
Ronald Bozeman, 66, filed a federal lawsuit last week against the city and the detective on his case, blaming them for jailing him on bogus charges that he robbed two men of $9,000 at gunpoint in August 2011.
