Al Qaeda Leader Urges Militants To Fight Together Against Assad

Osama Bin Laden's replacement, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has urged Islamic militants to unite and fight against Assad, the latest reminder that as bad as Assad and his allies might be many of the rebels in Syria are not exactly secular liberals fighting for a democracy. In his statement Ayman al-Zawahiri denounced Iran, one of Assad's allies and supporter of Hezbollah.
From Global Post:
The divisive Syrian civil war appears to be pitting Hezbollah against Al Qaeda.
Ayman al-Zawahiri, the preacher who replaced Osama bin Laden as Al Qaeda's chief after the latter's death, has urged Islamist militants to put aside their sectarian differences and unite against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He made the announcement in a 22-minute recording posted on Islamist militant websites, Reuters reported.

Yes, let them fight it out over there.
John McCain gave him that idea.
Material support. Maverick John might need to spend some time at the Havana Hilton having tubes shoved down his throat.
If Obama gives aid to the rebels, does the US become a state sponsor of terrorism?
Yes. Not to worry though, we already did that in Libya, so we are good.
Doesn't droning people we think might be angry that we already droned their uncle take us beyond being simply a sponsor to being an out right terrorist state?
Now we have to jump in on the side of ASSad. Hell we helped out uncle Joe cause the mean Nazi were killing too many commies and uncle Joe wanted to kill them off all by himself.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Sooo if Al Queda considers ASSad, that makes uncle Sammie and ASSad BFFs. Right? I mean if we can shred the constitution because of TERRORIZ, surely we can find it in our hearts to give another tyrant a hand. For the children, we simply must.
