Michelle Obama Threatened To Leave Fundraiser After Being Heckled

Lesbian activist interrupted the First Lady's remarks

WASHINGTON, June 5 (UPI) — First lady Michelle Obama, encountering a protester, threatened to leave a Washington fundraiser if the person didn't stop interrupting her.

Witnesses said Obama was delivering remarks at the private fundraiser Tuesday when lesbian activist Ellen Sturtz, 56, interrupted to demand President Obama sign an anti-discrimination executive order, The Washington Post reported.

The first lady paused and confronted Sturtz, witnesses said.

"One of the things that I don't do well is this," she said. "Do you understand?"

A pool report indicated Obama approached the protester and said, "Listen to me or you can take the mic, but I'm leaving. You all decide. You have one choice."

  1. She shares with her husband that unfortunate combination of overwheening arrogance and blistering incompetence. Grifters such as them need to be very careful in handling opposition, they have to maintain the appearance that they are in control of the situation at all times, lest they face an Emporor has no Clothes meltdown.

  2. I probably would have kept heckling her until she walked out. Princess Obama gives you one choice, you’re sort of honor bound to make sure it’s the best one.

  3. “First Lady Michelle Obama, encountering a protester, threatened to leave a Washington fundraiser if the person didn’t stop interrupting her.”

I’m having trouble seeing the downside to this.
