Bloomberg's Group Goes After Sen. Ayotte with Ads
Not happy with failure to support gun controls
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's anti-gun violence group is slamming Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) with a pricey new ad buy, hitting her vote against the gun control bill that failed in the Senate.
"She voted to kill comprehensive background checks, making us less safe," says Police Chief Scott Knight, the former chairman of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Firearms Committee, in the ad that comes from Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
The buy, which clocks in at $400,000 and is set to run for 10 days in the Boston and Manchester, N.H. markets, bashes the Granite State Republican for saying she voted for another gun control measure.
