George W. Bush's Approval Rating Climbing Since He Left Office

According to a new Post-ABC poll George W. Bush is enjoying increased levels of approval. Towards the end of 2008 only 23 percent of those polled said they approved of the way Bush handled his job as president. When asked last weekend what they thought of the way Bush handled his job as president 47 percent say they approved.

Support for the invasion and occupation of Iraq has also increased. In December 2006 only 28 percent of respondents said they approved of the decision to invade Iraq. Last weekend 40 percent of respondents said they supported the decision.
