Poll: GOP Are Stubborn
Respondents to the Gallup poll also said that Democrats spend too much
A new Gallup poll finds that the biggest critique of Republicans by Americans is that they're "too inflexible" and "unwilling to compromise," while for Democrats it's that they "spend too much" and "increase the budget deficit."
According to the poll, which measured what Americans dislike about each party, 21 percent of national adults said Republicans don't compromise, including 26 percent of Republicans, 17 percent of independents and 22 percent of Democrats. The second most common criticism was that Republicans are for "protecting the wealthy, not the middle class."

So, basically your average American is angry at Republicans for not agreeing to spend more money, and is simultaneously angry at Democrats for spending money.
We're fucked.
That does seem to be a logical reading of the results.
