Alaskan GOP Senator Latest to Start "Evolving" on Gay Marriage
Lisa Murkowski acknowledges changes in how marriages are being viewed
Sen. Lisa Murkowski may be the next Republican to embrace same-sex marriage. She said Wednesday her views are "evolving."
In a speech to the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, she said: "The term 'evolving view' has been perhaps overused, but I think it is an appropriate term for me to use," The Hill reports. "I think it's important to acknowledge that there is a change afoot in this country in terms of how marriage is viewed."
