Former New Orleans State Rep Charged with Theft and Mismanagement of Funds
Was the House speaker pro tem, arrested by the county sheriff's office
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for former New Orleans state Rep. Sherman Copelin Jr. charging him withtheft and misapplication of payment in the amount of $832,421. Investigators obtained the warrant on Friday, according to Col. John Fortunato, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
