Eight Face Charges Over Pennsylvania Turnpike Corruption
Just a tad crooked
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane announced Wednesday morning that eight people have been charged in a pay-to-play scandal involving the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Among those charged are former state Sen. Robert Mellow and Joseph Brimmeier, the former CEO of the turnpike. Kane is announcing the charges in a press conference that began at 11 a.m.
The charges related to a system allegedly involving bribes and political contributions costing taxpayers millions of dollars, according to the grand jury report.
