Angry Birds vs. Wacko Birds, Round 2: Cruz and McCain

Over the weekend, we noted the vituperation spewed by what might be called the "Angry Bird" faction of the Republican party (Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham) toward what they consider the "Wacko Bird" faction (in McCain's term). McCain said:
"They were elected, nobody believes that there was a corrupt election, anything else,"McCain said. "But I also think that when, you know, it's always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone."
Asked to clarify, McCain said he was referencing "Rand Paul, Cruz, Amash, whoever."
Rand Paul responded by professing his respect for McCain and Amash tweeted back snarkily about McCain's dinner with Barack Obama the night of Paul's epic filibuster. Now Ted Cruz tells The Washington Examiner's Byron York:
"Some senators may choose to hurl insults and personal attacks," says new Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. "That's their prerogative. I have no intention of reciprocating."
As Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit observes, "TED CRUZ POLITELY INDICATES that he doesn't take John McCain's attacks seriously. That's got to hurt."

Does anyone know how to get 3 stars on level 31 of the Death Star world on Angry Birds Star Wars?
The same way you get 3 stars on any hard level. Try the level over and over again until you get lucky and everything happens to fall just right.
Winner winner Angry Bird Dinner.
Yes, I do.
What?
McCain must be pissed that a few Repubs are representing the Republican Wing of the party. Kids in Congress these days, refusing to accept the ways of their elders.
This is almost definitely because the dinner got overshadowed by a unique and therefore very buzzworthy filibuster. Even NBC News seemed excited by it (at first).
Its like McCain learned nothing from the fact that running back to Washington to be "bipartisan" and help get TARP over the finish line cost him his lead over Obama in 2008.
Exactly. He doesn't realize that some members of his party don't want him to be just like Obushma.
If Republicans realized this, they wouldn't be such losers.
That had to be quite literally the dumbest thing since Dukakis and the tank.
The letters and phone calls were running 50 or 100-1 against TARP. McCain could have rode in on an anti-bailout wave.
I bet McCain knows the difference between a magazine and a clip.
Except that McCain is a media whore and the media were overwhelmingly for the theft.
That is another thing I reflect on pretty frequently. After watching the media turn on him in 2008, how is it possible McCain doesn't *get it* by this point?
Nice to see all you GOPers lament on the demise of the McCain campaign.
Libertarians don't care.
But it made your year. It put that "Libertarian Obama" in there. And it ensured that no one from Wall Street would ever be prosecuted for the 08 crash and five years of wall street and crony theft. And that really is what it is all about with little monkeys like you.
Exactly who should be prosecuted and for what? Prosecute now.
I will shame you on law too.
Wanna bet? Let's have a discussion about the transfer of mortgages and their notes into Asset Mortgage Investments and whether there is fraud going on there.
That is a civil issue and has been successfully litigated many times.
It's ripe for a RICO charge and you very well know it.
Shrike, the only thing you shame anybody on is your parents for your pony-fucking habits.
OMG, Buttplug thinks he's Jimmy King now. "I will rooool you!" lol
Why are you guys arguing with blank spaces?
I don't see me lamenting shit, do you?
I sure as hell wasn't. I've never liked McCain.
Who was "lamenting" specifically?
Who was "lamenting" specifically?
Randian likes to argue against straw men.
How, when I point out McCain's stupidity, does that mean I lament the demise of his campaign?
Shriek the Sock literally can't understand something that is not dichotomous. If you're not a Dem in its world, you, by process of elimination, must be a Rep. It's like a sociopath who literally can't feel real human feelings. Shriek can't conceive of anyone who doesn't like both Ds and Rs.
This is the core of the "Oh yeah? Well, BUSH!" comeback to so many complaints about the current President.
I think it's inaccurate to refer to Buttplug as a sockpuppet. Based on his handle he's obviously puppeting for Obama's dick. He's a cockpuppet, if you will.
I'm guessing he, like any prospective President in 2008, knew that a massive influx of cash was likely to stave off a huge economic contraction. He supported it, just like Bush/Obama, or ANYONE in thier position...because they would be blamed for the upcoming depression, and instead chose to kick the can down the road.
TARP provided needed liquidity in exchange for ransom in the form of massive equity. It was destined to succeed as socialist as it was.
The letters and phone calls were running 50 or 100-1 against TARP.
Right before the House voted it down. After a few days of the MSM proclaiming 24/7 that the sky was going to fall if we didn't pass it, and the taxpayers would "profit" from it in a year or two, and the Dow crashed the next day (probably at random), the calls evened out.
You're right, Tulpa. McCain must have done the right thing - look at how well it worked out for him!
I think you're right, he now has a grudge against Paul for his perceived slight. That's typical McCain - everything's personal.
Everything personal, petty, and paid for by the State.
You kidding? I've seen waaaay more coverage of BO's "charm offensive" (barf) than the filibuster on mainstream TV news.
It's nice to have McCain's confirmation and endorsement of the three shining stars of the Liberty movement. Seems we're finally getting the attention of the old guard!
"just as Hazel answered I didn't even know that someone able to earn $8792 in 4 weeks on the internet. did you see this web site
------------------- http://www.wow93.com -----------------------------
"
Dude, Hazel Meade doesn't like people misusing her name. Them loonies are pretty fucking vindictive too. You might want to pick a different girl's name for your spamming campaign.
Has anybody ever clicked one of those links? These spambots came out of nowhere and are fucking everywhere now. I really want someone to do an investigative piece on them.
If I was an evil Bond villain billionaire, I would track down these guys, and also track down the guys who do browser redirect viruses, and abduct them to a private island where they would be forced to do gladiator battles to the death while I streamed the video live to a grateful world.
If you did that no one would think you were evil.
Yeah, when he said that I thought he would end it by employing them.
Well, OK, but they should only be given blunt instruments so the battles will take a long time. And no food or water.
It's a link-posting/SEO thing.
I make about $8946 a month selling gun insurance in gullible dupes.
*to* gullible...
No, it works better the typoed way. Much more "botish"
I thought you meant Gullible Dupes, Idaho.
Is that really a place?!
It should be if it isn't.
Niiiiice.
A gun insurance salesman who doesn't know the difference between a magazine and a clip is like a car salesman who doesn't know the difference between manual and automatic transmission.
Goddamn those fuckers.
Makes a lot of sense wehn you thinkn about it LOL!

I dream of a day when nobody returns John McCain's phone calls.
Are we supposed to like Ted Cruz? He seems more like Marco Rubio than Justin Amash. Tell me what to think, Reason groupthinkers.
I think we're supposed to be amused by him, but not trust him.
I don't think you have to worry about anyone here but tge trolls trusting a politician.
Show previews for his new movie. I think it was called Oblivion. Looked decent.
Saw previews...
the meme from the lefties is that Ted is a closet commie. something about his father and fidel.
Nice. So, like Religion, if the Right has it, it's bad. If the Left has it, it's good.
Well, his dad was indeed a "Cuban refugee", but he was fleeing from Batista, not Castro. Something the TP/GOP fluffers never seem to mention.
I actually kinda like Cruz. Its still early days, but his willingness to use his Senate seat to torture bureaucrats in hearings is a plus.
Some people have high standards.
I think the spectrum goes Rubio-Cruz-Amash-Paul.
Or reverse the last two.
According to some people Ron Paul's on the right, with everyone else far, far off to the left.
Well Ron Paul isn't even in Congress any more. I also find it odd that people who demonize Rand, for example, for doing certain things (e.g. endorsing unlibertarian candidates) ignore when Ron Paul does the same thing. I didn't support Romney, and wish Rand wouldn't have, but understand why he did and don't think he deserves to be completely written off for it
It's easy to name 94 worse Senators, hard to name a whole 5 better, at least with current data.
I think Gillespie was dead on when he compared McCain to Mermaidman, although you have to have a young kid to get the reference.
I direct you attention to the fact that McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate.
That is really all that needs to be said.
It's apparent that Sen. McCain has become irrelevant. And that's a shame.
Dr. Gillespie, why do you insist on making me learn new words?
