Falkland Islanders Widely Expected to Have Voted to Remain Part of the UK

Referendum held yesterday, result to be announced tomorrow

The Falkland Islands will this morning wake to the news that they are still part of Britain. The official result of the sovereignty referendum is due in the early hours of Tuesday morning, but with an overwhelming percentage of inhabitants expected to vote 'yes' finding someone today who held the opposite view was a tall order.
