Norwegian Politicians Considering the Decriminalization of Smoking Heroin
Seeking to reduce number of overdoses
The Norwegian government said Friday it wants to decriminalise the inhalation of heroin, a method considered less dangerous than injecting it, to reduce the number of overdoses in the country.

When asked why anyone should be incarcerated for ingesting heroin in any manner in the first place one is generally met only with cognitive dissonance on the part of the responder. We're either told that incarceration is for the good of the user or the good of the public; both being clearly not the case.
