No Hostages Believed Held at Dorner Cabin
Despite earlier reports of a hostage situation at what is now a burning cabin in Big Bear, Cindy Bachman, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, says they have no reason to believe that anybody other than the suspect is inside.
Bachman says police "have reason to believe" that Christopher Dorner is the suspect who exchanged gunfire with law-enforcement officers, both earlier in the day, and at the cabin itself. A deputy died subsequent to the earlier exchange, and another was wounded.
