Former Drug Czar Says Marijuana is Like Child Pornography

Meaning he likes them both?

Paul Chabot, former drug czar advisor in the Clinton and Bush administrations, defended the criminalization of marijuana Monday on HuffPost Live, comparing marijuana to child pornography.

When asked by HuffPost Washington Bureau Chief Ryan Grim why we keep marijuana illegal, Chabot responded: "Why do we keep heroin, LSD, prostitution, child pornography illegal?"

A better question, is why is tobacco NOT illegal? It's more addictive than marijuana and has been proven to be extremely harmful with no medical benefits (which would make it schedule I were it given a fair hearing).

Also, unless you're grinding them up for fertilizer, production and consumption of marijuana at no time involves the recording of or actual abuse of children. Which is why child pornography is illegal.

What a crazed thug. They've never had any real justification for pot prohibition, but now they're being openly called on it, and they're getting more shrill and insane as the old formulas are being laughed at.
