WI Hits Firm With Antitrust Penalty, Then Awards it Investment Credits
One hand, the other hand, etc.
On April 11, 2011, Dean Foods was awarded $23,639 in Facility Investment Credits by the former Wisconsin Department of Commerce, less than two weeks after an anti-trust settlement forced Dean Foods to sell its Waukesha Golden Guernsey dairy plant.
The facility was purchased by OpenGate Capital, a California-based venture capital firm. Earlier this week, OpenGate filed to liquidate Golden Guernsey's assets, days after shutting down the factory and terminating the jobs of 113 employees.
