Sheriff Arpaio's Posse Arrives to Patrol Schools
No doubt kids feel safer, as long as they don't have brown skin
PHOENIX -- Some students in the north Valley arrived at school Wednesday to a little more security.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's volunteer posse members were patrolling the school grounds around Anthem School in the Deer Valley Unified School District.
"They're going to be very present in our schools in Anthem," said Bill Gahn, director of operations for the school district. "We've worked very closely with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department and they just said they're going to be there to help out."
The volunteers will not be on campus. Rather, they'll be in marked vehicles driving around schools, ready to respond if necessary.
