Cory Booker Still Waiting on Meeting with Lautenberg
Announced last year he'd run for the incumbent's Senate seate in 2014
Newark Mayor Cory Booker says he's giving New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg "space" to make a decision about running for re-election – but also acknowledged he still hasn't been able to get a meeting with the senior New Jersey Democrat.
"I want to give him the space to make his own decision. I've announced my intention to run, but the reality is – is we've got a good Senator. He's been loyal. He's been there for a long time," Booker said during an interview on CNN Monday. "And I think that he's got a decision to make."
