Congress Officially Confirms Obama Won Re-election

Electoral votes announced

It's a done deal.

Congress on Friday formally confirmed President Obama's win in the Electoral College over Republican election opponent Mitt Romney.

Vice President Joe Biden, who also serves as president of the Senate, chaired a Joint Session of Congress as members of the House and Senate took turns announcing electoral votes from all 50 states.
