Jeff Riggenbach on Humanist Psychology

From the 1950s though the 1970s, the humanist psychologists brought a new interest in individualism to their field—along with encounter groups, psychedelic drugs, clothing-optional "growth centers," and "client-centered therapy." Jessica Grogan's Encountering America tells their story. The book has its merits, Jeff Riggenbach reports in his review, but the author's anti-individualist inclinations sometimes lead her astray.
