In the days after the deadly elementary-school shootings in Connecticut, parents everywhere have been searching for ways to make their children "bulletproof."

Business has been booming at one Salt Lake City-based armor company — Amendment II — which has gotten more orders for its $300 military-grade bulletproof backpacks than it can fill.
