U.K. Press Inquiry Now Targets Bloggers and Tweeters for Regulation

The man who headed Britain's recent press inquiry is calling for tougher laws to ensure that bloggers, tweeters and online journalists are subject to the same legal obligations as mainstream media.

Speaking in Melbourne last night Lord Justice Sir Brian Leveson addressed the legal challenges facing the media in the digital age.

He warned that without new laws the traditional press may be tempted to bend the existing laws as it competes with bloggers and tweeters.
