Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Not a Fan of the Electoral College
Says it is disappointing only a few states determine who will be elected
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, said late last week that we should scrap the the electoral college.
"[I]'s pretty disappointing when you think that just a few states really determine who's been elected president," she said Friday. "And they get all the attention."
Brewer said the 2000 election, in which Republican George W. Bush won the electoral college but not the popular vote, didn't change her mind.

What makes her think that scrapping the electoral system would change that? It would just end up being a different few states determining the election.
She's a Republican, right? What exactly is her plan for stopping Chicago and Philadelphia from experiencing a record 80000% voter turnout in the next election if the EC goes away?
If anything, they should duplicate the EC internally at the state level, to neuter the impact of GOTV efforts except in swaying swing districts. Less bullshit all around.
