Thousands of hard-line Islamists converged on downtown Cairo to press their case for a stronger version of Shariah, or Islamic law, in Egypt's emerging constitution.
The rally on Friday came as rising tensions between secularists and Islamists threaten to further delay a drafting process that has already extended Egypt's chaotic transition to stable governance.
