Montana Bans Health Insurance Mandates
Approves tighter regulations on medical marijuana use
Voters are handily approving a buffet of ballot measures, with 60 percent of precincts were partially reporting as of press time. Many measures stemming from issues Montana's Republican-dominated 2011 legislature chose to send to voters for approval or denial.Voters are approving of Legislative Referendum 120, 198,420-90,607.
LR 120 would require parental notification for a physician to perform an abortion on a minor 16 or younger. The referendum did provide for some exemptions for abortions being performed without parental notification such as a medical emergency or being waived in a youth court hearing.
