LA Passes Pet Ordinance

Pet stores may not buy from farm breeders, cats, dogs, and rabbits must come from rescue groups or shelters

The Los Angeles City Council formalized its approval of an ordinance (by a 13-2 vote) that bans the retail sale of dogs, cats and rabbits--an important step on the path to becoming the largest no-kill community in the United States.
