States Remain Divided Over Medicaid Expansion

Only 13 states have signed on to the administration's scheme

Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana have plenty of company as states that have yet to decide whether to expand their Medicaid programs.

Only 13 states have committed to undertaking an expansion, and six have rejected the idea, Fierce Healthcare reports. All the others are on the fence.

The U.S. Supreme Court's June 28 decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act also said states could opt out of the legislation's Medicaid expansion provisions.
