Christie: Jon Tester is Harry Reid's Butler
Now that's election-season rhetoric
If Republican U.S. Senate challenger Denny Rehberg wanted someone to stir the pot in his tight election contest against Democratic incumbent Jon Tester, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie did just that Friday night at the Billings Holiday Inn.
Christie, on a swing through western states this week promoting Republicans candidates in various races, called Tester a "phony" who lost after arriving in Washington, D.C. in 2006. He accused Tester of voting against Montanans' interests, specifically citing the Democrat's support of the death tax, a measure the governor said can rip apart the fabric of Treasure State families.
