Turkish Troops Respond to Mortar Fire

State media says a mortar hit a rural area near the border

The Turkish state media reports that Turkish troops have returned fire after a mortar round from Syria again landed on Turkish territory.

The Anadolu Agency quoted the governor for Hatay province as saying that Turkish troops "responded with fire" after the round landed in a rural area of the province that borders Syria, the Associated Press reports.
