Penalty calculated as percent of global, not European, revenue
It almost certainly won't, but the European Union could, in theory, fine
Microsoft $7.4 billion. The case highlights the rather strange way that the EU decides how much to fine companies that breach the rules.

The article says the fine is 10% of the company's revenues. But that fine is illegal. It should be 10% of the revenues on the sale of IE. Anyone know how much that is?
