Soldier Charged with Homicide After Shooting Soldier to Cure His Hiccups
Allegedly held gun up to try to scare hiccups away, but it went off
A soldier at a Fort Hood, Tex. army base was shot to death by another soldier who aimed a gun at his head in an attempt to scare away his hiccups, police said.
Spc. Patrick Edward Myers of Spartanburg, S.C. was charged with manslaughter in the death of 22-year-old Pfc. Isaac Lawrence Young, in Killeen, Tex.
"The victim had the hiccups," police spokesperson Carroll Smith told CNN. "The suspect pulled out a gun to scare him, in order to stop the hiccups."
