Pakistan Disowns Bounty Set by Railways Minister on Innocence of Muslims Filmmaker

The government minister put up his own money as a bounty for the head of whoever produced "Innocence of Muslims"

The Pakistani government on Monday distanced itself from an offer by one of its Cabinet ministers to pay $100,000 for anyone who kills the maker of an anti-Islam film, saying the offer does not represent official government policy.

The offer by Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has drawn criticism in Pakistan even though anger against the film runs high in this predominantly Muslim country.

Wow, demanding an explanation - sounds like they're going to be really tough on him!

What needs explaining? His views seem pretty obviously stated.

Hmmm.... why hasn't this guy been charged with conspiracy to commit murder under US law? The person this clown is attempting to contract for death, IS a naturalized citizen. So, are you saying, that if the perp is not in the U.S., it's NOT a crime to contract the death of an American?

Wait... let me get this straight, if I take up a collection outside of Wal-Mart, to have a person in Pakistan murdered, I would be just fine, I would be within my rights to conduct a collection of funds for the purpose of conspiring to murder a citizen of a foreign country with who the US has an extradition treaty!?!??

At a minimum, why not take this to ICC? Why doesn't the AG of California file a charge?

I would OF COURSE rather we place a Warrant for his arrest and then talk to the Pakis about extradition, how about that? The last time we let some knuckle-head flap his gums about going to war with the US and ignored him because we assumed he was an imbecile howling at windmills, we paid a very heavy price, the bill of which came due on a now familiar date, 9/11.
