Uganda Replaces Troops in Somalia

2,830 new troops join the African Union mission there

Uganda has withdrawn a contingent of UPDF soldiers serving under the African Union peacekeeping Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and replaced them with another contingent of troops.

The Commander of the Land Forces, Lt. Gen Katumba Wamala Thursday received the withdrawing officers and men led by Brig. Paul Lokech.
