Obama Campaign Courts Rabbis In Effort To Regain Jewish Votes
Voters who broke for the incumbent in 2008 no longer consider him so kosher
The Obama campaign wants you to know that some of the president's best friends are rabbis.
The Boston Globe reports that Barack Obama is losing support among Jews in Florida, a block he needs and needs badly to win a state he needs and needs badly. And the situation could be very bad for Obama's reelection efforts since Jewish support for Obama would only have to drop by a few points to make the difference between his winning or losing the state.
So the campaign is going on what they hope will be effective offense by offering up a new list of "Rabbis for Obama," which mirrors an independent effort from 2008.
