Tax Breaks for Olympians!

President Barack Obama would sign bill to exempt Olympic cash prizes from taxes.

The White House said Monday that President Obama would sign a bill to give tax breaks to Olympic medalists on their cash awards.

"If it were to get to his desk he would support it," said White House spokesman Jay Carney during the press briefing Monday.

  1. i see no reason to exempt these young people from the income tax. if anyone should be exempt, it is the young men and women in our armed forces serving in harms way.

    the olympians have been pampered and trained at someone else’s expense, for the most part. they deserve no special consideration.

  2. Yes please. More tax breaks for Kobe and LeBron. That is precisely the one thing that will fix our country and put it back on track.
