Actually, I advocate abandoning Afghanistan to the Afghans. If they want the Taliban to be their masters, then that is on them.

The Afghans have shown no reluctance to fight, so maybe they need to resist the Taliban.

Personally I don't care what the Taliban does in Afghanistan, mostly because I am not in Afghani, that is a problem for the Afghanis.

I do care about allowing Taliban into the USA, but having troops in Afghanistan does not stop the Taliban from coming to the USA.

I would say its up to the Afghans, not us, whether the Taliban is hunted down like dogs, escorted to Kabul by cheering mobs, or something in between.
