Alabama Cracks Down on Illegal Immigrants, Screws Sweet Potato Farmers
If you're an unemployed American who knows how to harvest sweet potatoes, consider heading to Alabama.
Yesterday, U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Blackburn upheld the portions of a stringent law that authorizes police to check immigration status during traffic stops and requires public schools to check students' immigration status when they enroll.
The Obama administration filed the main lawsuit challenging the law on the grounds that the federal government alone has power to enforce immigration law. Until she has time to make a final ruling, Judge Blackburn temporarily blocked some provisions, like one that would ban transporting or harboring an illegal immigrant and another that would make it illegal to stop on the side of the road and hire someone. The court may eventually decide to uphold all sections of the law.
Farmers in Alabama now worry whether they'll be able to hire enough laborers for harvests, and they've got plenty of reason to fret given the situation one state over. Georgia passed a similar law cracking down on illegal immigration last spring, only to face a shortage of migrant farm workers shortly thereafter. "The labor shortage is potentially putting hundreds of millions of dollars in crops at risk, say state agricultural industry leaders," The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in June.
The Tuscaloosa News reports today:
"There are some sweet potato farmers in this state it's really going to hurt. I don't know how they're going to get their crops out," said Jeremy Calvert, a farmer in rural Bremen.
Earlier this summer, Tuscaloosa residents were already concerned about the potential effects of new restrictions on immigrants. The tornado that ripped through Tuscaloosa last April destroyed more than 7,200 homes and businesses, and people wondered how they'll rebuild a city when many of its immigrant concrete pourers, framers, roofers, and other construction laborers were leaving town. In July, The Tuscaloosa News reported:
Jimmy Latham, CEO of WAR Construction in Tuscaloosa and president of the Alabama Association of General Contractors, said the rebuilding in Tuscaloosa will be most noticeable by January and February 2012, and that's when people here might see the impact of the new law.
"Statewide, what we think will happen is that the (work) crew sizes will get smaller and prices will go up," said Latham, whose association represents contractors doing industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects.
It will take at least a few more months to see whether or how the new law affects Tuscaloosa's rebuilding. But many of the construction laborers, farm workers, dishwashers, and contributors to Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting who live and work in the U.S. probably aren't in a hurry to move to the Yellowhammer State.

There - more accurate.
Otherwise, those sweet potatoes better harvest themselves.
Where? What does it mean "knows how to harvest sweet potatoes"? Alabama is a big state. Names, numbers? Addresses?

OK. So now has the Georgia situation worked out? I am not a farmer and have no idea when the growing season ends. But if it has, shouldn't we know the results?
John Barrow says Georgia immigration law has left crops 'rotting in field'
Why does this make me suspect that the same dildos who passed the anti-immigration laws will start asking DC for more farm subsidies?
BP.... you can't have dildos in Alabama. So I don't know what you are talking about.
The new law seems to suggest there are hundreds of thousands of dildos in Alabama.
Well, there's an instance of the state actually creating a job: vibrator smuggler.
Worse. What this moron seems to be saying is that the stupidity needs to be spread far and wide.
If our crops are gonna rot, goddamnit!, everyone's crops should rot! Escalate the idiocy!
Why not let all those other states suffer from the horrors of immigrant workers? Surely when the unemployment in those states reaches 30%, they'll pass their own law, right?
Right?!?
Some men just want to see the yams rot.
That guy is just a pile of stupid. 'I want illegal workers out! 'Cept when I don't, which is now.' And to implement this type of flexibility, he's calling on the Feds.
From that article: the lesson learned is that e-verify must be implemented at the Federal level.
Nothing about taxes, wages, comparative advantage, nothing that actually addresses the problem.
We are fucked.
Vidalias were much cheaper this year than last year. I heard all the water melons were rotting but there was no shortage in the markets. Somebody was picking them.
Prohibitions, creating shortages???
Say it ain't so, Shoeless!!!
more precisely xenophobia. but ur point is made
That's right! More cheap labor! Abolish the minimum wage! It's for FREEEEEDUUUUUMB!
HERP DERP. I WONT DO THAT JERB, BUT DONT TAK IT FRUM ME! CAUS IF IT DONT PAY IT SHUDNT BE DUN. HERP DERP.
it may be hard to bring in their crop, but remember "necessity is the mother of invention". potatos are mechanically harvested,as well as tomatos, pecans and many other crops.
this law may well be a boon to these farmers. they need to push harvester manufacturers to inovate.
That's right--giant, autonomous robots should do the picking. They've got some good tech companies in Huntsville. I'd use killer drones to ensure that the robots stay in line.
Obama can deploy Flying Killer Robots to bomb the yams out of the ground! Is there any problem those babies can't solve?
And, since they are automatically immune from any concept of due process, any collateral picking resulting in deaths are okay.
meanwhile their crops rot then collect insurance which spreads the cost to...
So, "Use Robots, you hick" is the modern version of "Let them eat cake" from the economically ignorant anti-immigration schmucks.
Unless your son picks beans in the hot sun every day, I think you should go fuck yourself and let farmers decide for themselves.
So, the answer is to take the money that I make from the crops currently rotting in the field and buy a quarter million to half a million dollar piece of equipment to sit idle most of the year. Yep, that'll show those illegals.
The Obama administration filed the main lawsuit challenging the law on the grounds that the federal government alone has power to enforce immigration law.
Washington is doing a fine job deporting your brown folk, Alabama, thank you very much.
It's not about cutting labor costs so we make more $$$$$$$$, no, it's about FREEEDUMB!
So stupid you had to say it twice? I guess so.
How difficult is it? Really.
I'm sure there are plenty of able bodies Americans either on Welfare or Unemployment who could do this work if they had any incentive.
But they don't.
Why do menial work when the government will pay you to do nothing?
because welfare & unemployment pay so well?
Re: Stoopid, clueless, abandoned by both thought and reason double asshole,
Well enough not to want to lift tubers from the ground.
Your lack of insight on many subjects, including economics, is really sad double asshole - you tend to shoot your own arguments down in flames before you even begin to type anything.
Obviously they must if when given a choice between sitting on their ass and collecting a meager check, or busting their ass and earning an honest buck, they choose the meager check.
Re: Sarcasmic,
Poor, poor Double Asshole is incapable of understanding the easy-to-understand concept of disutility of labor. If I can get a steady check for sitting on my ass at home, playing videogames, instead of having to get up in the morning and drive to work 8 hours a day (with the added expense of gas and lunch, every day) for a bigger check, Double Asshole seems to assume I would prefer to go to work, despite my human preference for idleness.
Maybe he's a perfect being, the most perfect being in the universe. I know he's a perfect idiot.
except farm labour is usually local esp those banished migrants who set-up camps till the fields are cleared. try again know-it-all
Textbook example of moving the goal posts.
That's what losers do when they are losing.
They move the goal posts.
no ur the clown who posited that folks wont work the fields cause unemployment & welfare pay so well. i simply pointed out ur a simp
no ur the clown who posited that folks wont work the fields cause doing nothing and receiving unemployment & welfare pay so well is preferable to busting ass in a field for slightly more.
Are you leaving out the part about not working or working on purpose?
Or are you really so simple that you don't understand?
Nevermind. Because if the former is true then you're a liar and will not answer anyway, and if you are simple then you're too stupid to understand the question.
I think it's a mix of both.
Yes! The farm labor is for locals only! That's why it is done by immigrants!
Re: Oh you stupid man Double Asshole,
You mean the "local" labor that has been urban since the days of the Dust Bowl? THAT labor?
no, im referring to local rural labor near farms...who sarcasmic contends make too much unemployment & walfare to work the fields. now we'll see what happens in AL & GA when wages will have to increase per the [FREEZE MARKETZ]
Don't worry, the GA state legislature has been busy bankrupting the state unemployment insurance fund for the last couple of years and is getting ready to cut benefits even more (both duration and dollars), so we'll get to see if people will a)work for a few dollars an hour doing stoop labor in the 100 degree heat, or b) starve, or c) move somewhere else. It's the free market at work!
Then when all the farmers go broke too, they can... I don't know, head West with all their belongings strapped to their pickups?
Just like Citizen$ United was about FREEEDUMB OF SPEEEECH, not about buying Campaign$ with Corporate Ca$h.
Another clueless and pitiful excuse of a human comes out of the woodwork to grace us with his wit - or lack thereof.
He sounds like some sorta Tony/Max hybrid.
if corps are citizens & are therefore free to give $$, then the politicans should be free to directly buy votes outside the polls w $$
Huh? How is political advertising in any sense the same as directly buying votes? If it is, then individual contributions are also buying votes and should be banned, by your reasoning. (Actually, as long as there is no way for them to check on how you actually voted, having politicians handing out cash outside of the polls sounds good to me. I'll take their money and still vote for who I want to.)
I was just thinking the same thing.
Actually, I would prefer if politicians just gave out cash. One, you'd make some dough for voting. Two, you wouldn't have to spend a year watching shitty campaign ads. Three, it's be better for the environment without all of those millions of annoying placards being printed up.
Also, as Zeb points out, you wouldn't actually have to vote for the guy. And, does anyone here think that allowing vote buying would attract an even more craven class of people to politics?
Good thinkin' PFC Dipshit, you're really adding to the dialogue.
who said ads? im talking political contributions...$$$
"if corps are citizens & are therefore free to give $$"
Except that that's not what Citizens United was about or what the ruling said (it is available online for anyone to read, you know), so either you are ignorant or you are disingenuous.
Of course, pointing that out about old Double Asshole is like pointing out the sun rises in the East.
Let's see, should groups of people joined together for the common cause of promoting their business have have the same right to make political contributions as other groups of people joined together for the common cause of promoting their own personal agendas? Of course not! Only Unionz should have FREEDUMB OF SPEEEECH and be able to buy Campaign$ with Union Due$!
If only we could ban stupidity....
it wasnt only teh [UNIONZ] before citizens united. ur point?
Apparently your sarcasm meter needs adjusting. The point is that it was indeed about freedom of speech and the problem with it (the law, not the ruling) was carving out exceptions for favored groups like unions.
Gee. Wonder what the plantation owners had to do, after slavery was abolished. They had to be more creative and innovative. The U.S. did great, without slavery, since 1865. We grew and flourished. Same thing, will happen after we completely abolish Illegal Immigration. Farmers should never, have gotten addicted to cheap labor. Now, it is their fault they will suffer withrawal. Drug addicts, never want to give up their illicit drugs.
bourdain says no kitchen in NYC could operate w/o mexican labour
When's the last time Bourdain worked in a kitchen. I work in a restaurant and it can be done. There are plenty of kids coming out of culinary schools that would accept line cook positions. In our restaurant, runners and busboys are paid nearly as much as servers. You might be a little hard-pressed to find an non-illegal immigrant to fill the position of dishwasher. We have two dishwashers. One is a kid who was born and bred locally, and the other is an illegal immigrant who has given birth to two children here.
When's the last time Bourdain worked in a kitchen.
What? Last season I think? He went back to his old restaurant. The staff was all latino. He slowed them way down, and they hated his guts. It was a very awkward episode to watch.
Interesting. I'll rent it. I love Bourdain's show, but haven't watched the last couple of seasons.
Racism, straight up. Plenty of Mexicans and persons of Mexican descent are here legally.
People have to eat and since I assume that there were restaurants in NYC before the advent of Mexican labor than I would expect that they could survive without it. There might be fewer of them and the prices higher but they could operate without Mexicans in the kitchen.
So brown people are like drugs? Great! Legalize them both!
Re: Annie Jo,
They didn't have to face minimum wage laws, FICA, FUTA, liability insurance, anti-discrimination laws, OSHA, pensions, medical insurance...
Abolishing illegal immigration would mean not making it illegal, you direct result of the Amerikan Pulbic Skool Seistem.
It is clear they did not teach you about double negatives.
Yeah - not wanting to buy expensive shit, instead looking for better deals. The bastards...
Where do idiots like you come from? Who lifted the stone?
Who needs any of that? Abolish it all! NO minimum wage! NO OSHA! NO FICA! NO insurance! NO worker's comp! NOTHING but 50 cents an hour! FREEDUMB TO KONTRACT! Just like the good ol' days!
Re: Really imbecilic piece of dog crap with flies on it,
In the good old days, they paid one 50 cents GOLD.
That's a small fortune compared to today. You're quite the clueless, you moronic child.
And GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD! Change the monetary system back to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD so we can live high on the hog just like our great great great grandparents did in the 1800s! What a great standard of living THEY had!
Fucking Pullman strikers were a bunch of spoiled overpaid brats! Didn't they know they were being paid in GOOOOOOOLD?
Re: Piece of dog shit who can barely comprehend language,
They actually striked because the Pullman company was employing too many African Americans, who undercut the whites' pay.
Thank you for showing your true colors, you imbecile.
But wasn't it still "small fortune" since it was in GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD?
Ho-hum.... Whatever.
Let's do some math. I'll use round numbers to make it easy.
Gold's at $1600ish per ounce.
Those gold eagle coins say Twenty Dollars for a reason. Back then you could buy one for twenty bucks.
1600 / 20 = 80
So a dollar then was equivalent to eighty bucks today.
Divide that by two and you get $40.
Not exactly a small fortune.
Granted it isn't a small fortune, but I'd still be perfectly willing to be paid $40/hr right now, since I only make a little over half that.
That was per day, not per hour.
Re: sarcasmic,
No, the idiot above said ".50 per hour," as if it mattered.
I guess I just assumed that from historical context and knowing that on average people earned less than a dollar a day back then, that you were referring to a daily wage.
My bad.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_(United_States_coin)
The $20 eagle weighed .617 ounces. At today's gold price that $987.67. Divide that by 8 and you get $24.69. Even less than the $40.
Accounting for silver content, it's actually only .516oz gold.
If you purchased a $20 eagle today you would spend in the neighborhood of $1700.
http://goldprice.org/
I'm going by the price of the coin.
Ag labor is exempt from many of those regulations.
I spent several summers cutting tobacco, but then the illegals came in and under cut the wages for Americans. The tobacco farmers where making a lot of money, enough for a new pickup every year, paying American wages. But once they lost the tobacco subsidies, most of them went out of business.
Re: Chatroom Crank,
Minimum Wage and Overtime Pay
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) establishes standards for minimum wages and overtime pay. The FLSA requires employers of covered employees who are not otherwise exempt to pay these employees a minimum wage of not less than $7.25 an hour as of July 24, 2009. While virtually all employees engaged in agriculture are covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act because they are associated with the production of goods for interstate commerce, there are exemptions from the minimum wage provisions, the overtime pay provisions, or both for certain agricultural employees. For more detailed information visit the
U.S. Department of Labor.
Pesticide Compliance and Enforcement - Protects agricultural workers from the effects of exposure to pesticides. This standard is enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
And so on... and so on... and....
Absolutely. And the 'merican public should never have gotten addicted to cheap produce. In the short term, prices will be driven up and, according to the current liberal monologue, the poor will be forced to live on Twinkies, thus exacerbating the obesity crisis and inflating medical costs.
It's a win-win all around.
Wages paid to farm laborers have very little to do with how much we pay for produce. Labor costs are about 6% of the cost of produce. So if you buy a head of lettuce for $2, the picker maybe saw 12 cents.
So as the cost of labor increases, the price will not rise.
Is that what you just said?
amusing to watch the libtoidz scramble isnt it?
Hmm, according to the USDA it's around 42%, but thanks for playing.
865. We grew and flourished. Same thing, will happen after we completely abolish Illegal...
No no no... That's IllegalImmigration.
And go read a fucking demographics chart
I should know better....
Farmers should never, have gotten addicted to cheap labor.
So, it's OK with you that poor get hit the hardest by the higher food prices that the increased costs of farming will transform into? What an asshole.
You are planning to go down and volunteer to pick the crops, right? RIGHT?
Labor costs are only 6% of produce costs. Tell me again how the costs are going to skyrocket if we double labor costs?
Labor costs are only 6% of produce costs.
At the checkout counter.
The issue will be competing with imported produce, which many farmers won't be able to do. This will put a lot of domestic farmers out of business, further strain rural economies in the United States, and likely lead to a lot of ridiculous ag subsidies while increasing costs to the consumer. What is the advantage, again?
the advantage? fewer sub-human brown skins...see? we must retain the white male perogatives
According to the USDA: "Currently, labor makes up almost half of the variable production expenses for U.S. fruit and vegetable farms, although
labor's share varies significantly by commodity. As a result, efforts to reduce labor costs are an ongoing challenge for U.S. producers. Over half of the hired workers employed in U.S. crop agriculture are believed to be unauthorized immigrants, and most hired workers stay in the seasonal farm workforce a decade or less. As a result, agricultural employers are constantly seeking new workers." http://www.ers.usda.gov/Public.....ummary.pdf
Annie, here's a website just for you. The guy who runs it asks ToughQuestions and GetsAnswers I'm sure you'll agree with.
Oh my.
Awesome, he has a Twitter feed.
For: auto-irrumatio
All of that is what he's against? It would sound like he's part of the paranoid center, but he's so far off center, that can't be it.
And I can't imagine what he would Twit. "Saw an IllegalMexicanFamily today. Became ill, and started to cry. I called INS, but they BlewMeOff like they typically do. I have to remember to record those calls and UploadTheVideo... #Lonewacker 6:20 PM 9-28"
Yeah but his unique use of punctuation and run-on words really helps with the character limits.
I always wondered what the CamelCase was about. I figured he was too stupid to be a programmer, so that couldn't be it.
I wonder if @LoneWhacko is available. Because that could be fun.
LW memorial flashback thread
Of all the trolls, in all the towns, in all the world, you just typed the stupidest comment I've ever read. Congrats.
High praise indeed since you've seen all the H&R troll alumni.
many of whom are libtoid spooferz
Actually plantation owners continued to do pretty much what they'd been doing. The former slaves didn't have many marketable skills beyond manual labor and former owners would often allow former slaves to work as tenant farmers or hire them to work for a small wage. Abolishing slavery didn't abolish the workforce or dramatically change the cost of doing business. Abolishing illegal immigration without replacing it with some sort of a work visa would do both. Unless you've stopped eating, then the farmer isn't the only cheap labor addict who'll be suffering withdrawl.
Amazing how ignorant people are about U.S. history.
The plantation owners for the most part became landlords for sharecroppers.
People these days have no perspective of history. There weren't a lot of towns back then and many plantations would be tens or hundreds of miles away from a city. In all honesty, there was no place for the freed slaves to go. Many of them just stayed put and became sharecroppers on the same land they were slaves on. Same relationship, different contract.
What you are talking about here, is a complete removal of a work force.
Outsourcing+Illegal Immigration=PROFIT! You'll just have to suck it, middle class!
That right. Just think of all those unemployed middle class factory workers who are just itching to go pick potatoes in Alabama for minimum wage if only the illegals weren't taking all the good jobs.
OT
Coming soon to a government crack down near you.
Snitches get stitches, bitches.
Let willing and able bodies incarcerated in Alabama state prisons do the work. Let them keep a percentage of their wages and give the remainder to the state to cover the expense of providing security.
Re: Billy F,
You mean use slave labor? Again? Once more?
Hey great plan. Create a captive labor force that generates revenue for the state. I don't see what could possibly go wrong.
Hugh Akston would do the work. He did well as a short order cook. I'm sure he's not above potato picking.
You can say that again.
Hugh Akston would do the work. He did well as a short order cook. I'm sure he's not above potato picking.
well said said
Freedumb
Newtroll's act is highly subpar.
Gee, what would happen in a free market when there is a shortage of something (in this case labor)? Ummmm....uhhhh...oh you raise the pay of the workers to make it worth their while.
I'm sure there are no construction workers around that would want a job to rebuild Tuscaloosa.
CALL NOW TO BUY GOOOOOOLD COINS! REAL, ACTUALY PHYSICAL GOOOOOLD! BE READY LIBERTARDS! YOU NEED MORE GOOOOOOOLD!

buying gold will defeat the unionz/islamic caliphates...or something
Telling me I'm not even allowed to hire someone off the side of the road? Putting immigration enforcement onto private citizens? Man, that's some heavy gov't right there. They must be proud to be a state of small-gov't conservatives.
Perhaps they never should have allowed all their blue collar jobs to be over taken by illegals then they would have the ability to rebuild themselves.
Anyone know how many people are on welfare in Alabama. Seems like a workforce just sitting there LITERALLY just waiting for the picking. PUN Intended.
Vote Republican.
I'll vote for Gary Johnson. Happy?
Actually...I'm voting for him as well.
I've actually changed my state registration to republican to vote in primary.
Doubt he'll win though.
You are anti-fence then. Good to hear.
I like marshmallow on my sweet potatos.
YOU ARE SCUM
Next you're going to tell me that chopped pecans are also unacceptable on top of yams.
Those are splendid, as long as there's also a ton of butter. Butter is mandatory.
Agreed - I was going to specify but was absolutely sure it didn't need to be stated.
I made a batch with caramel one time and almost gagged on how sweet they were. I've decided that you really need nothing more than brown sugar and butter.
YOU SICKEN ME
Did anyone else read any of Lonewacko's Twitter feed? Shit is genius.
I shudder to think what other #Urge campaigns Lonewacko has tried. #UrgeThoseChildrenToStopBeingSoSexy
Once you Libertarians stop supporting illegal aliens and the employers who hire them, perhaps then you can be taken seriously.
By whom? Nationalist authoritarians like you? Well, we can dare to dream I guess.
Re: zeezll,
"Once you libertarians drop your principles and ethical values, then us the unethical, thieving Statists will take you seriously."
Don't wait for it standing up.
Please zee! Accept us lowly liburtarians into your authoritarian circle. We crave your acceptance more than life itself.

How are they determining status? A national citizens registry?
Re: TrickyVic,
Steps to identify a person that may be illegally in the country, without racially-profiling the individual:
a) Is he dressed in a black T-Shirt and baggy shorts?
b) Does he have a last name that sounds like he's not from around here?
c) Does he have tatoos of La Virgencita De Guadalupe?
d) Does he drink Dos Equis or Corona?
e) Is he carrying a calendar of voluptuous and fertile women instead of one with our cleancut, artificially busty, small-hips skinny American women?
f) Is he carrying a soccer ball?
Yeah, yeah.
Ask them what is their favorite football team.
But seriously though. How can you determine who is legal without some sort of database or national ID card?
What would happen if a business owner just flatly ignored all the unjust regulations/laws imposed upon him and resisted violently when governmental forces come to force his compliance?
A double tap?
or this if you are in China
He'd die, possibly spectacularly, probably futilely
Wow are some of you gullible. First, there are machines that can harvest many of the crops, but the growers don't want to invest in them because the taxpayer subsidized stoop labor is cheaper. The cost of farming isn't in the labor, it is in the marketing. But fools who haven't researched or worked in those fields haven't a clue and will believe anything put in print.
Let's blame the labor shortage on the 99-week unemployment checks that encourage people to stay home by the mailbox.
And then blame the education system for degrees in Latino Studies and 17th Century French poetry.
N.B. Public interest lawyers once sued UC Davis for developing labor-saving farm equipment.
"17th Century French poetry"
Wow, what a complete waste of time... I mean for anyone else. That's so bold of you... you must be very brave.
I'm in California and live in an agricultural area. This cry "the fruit will die in the orchards or veg will die in the fields" is a lie and a ploy by growers to keep a cheap slave labor force. I work with those doing the stoop labor and they are receiving so many bennies from our state and federal gov that all our taxpayers are footing most of the bill, not the growers. By the way, less than 3% of the illegals actually work in the fields. The rest you are paying for their anchor baby education, which is huge. I costs an average of $1,000 per month, per child to educate in our schools. How's that added cost for a sweet potato?
Actually Kelly you've made a great argument for getting rid of socialized gov't schools.
"This cry "the fruit will die in the orchards or veg will die in the fields" is a lie and a ploy by growers to keep a cheap slave labor force."
Slave labor? Really?
"I work with those doing the stoop labor and they are receiving so many bennies from our state and federal gov..."
So... they aren't slaves then.
Seriously though... my wife works in agriculture and works regularly with seasonal labor. To suggest they're slaves is... well... pretty fucking dumb.
They are slaves to the growers. That's what most businesses that use illegals want, a cheap slave labor force that can't complain.
Anyone who 1) receives welfare or unemployment, and 2) complains about illegal immigration, should have to work these jobs on pain of losing their checks.
Maybe the sweet potato company shouldn't have hired illegal immigrants... The people who get hired to work in this country should be legal CITIZENS. Our unemployment rate is ridiculous.
There were almost no illegals in Alabama less than 10 years ago. The population started exploding around then. All the construction and landscaping were done by poor blacks and whites (plus college kids in the summer). The businesses grew addicted to the cheap (under the table) labor provided by the mexicans. The people that used to do the construction and labor could no longer get good paying manual labor jobs. Most of those people went on welfare because it pays better than what the new going rate for labor is. Never mind the increase in crime in the areas the hispanics moved into. In my suburban neighborhood there was almost no violence and murder was unheard of. After the hispanics took over all the apartments, 5 headless bodies were found strung up. MS13 graffiti is everywhere... It's crazy, and hard to describe the difference to people that dont live here. What used to be a super nice quiet area now has a track though the middle that looks like a set from Mad Max.
The DEY TOOK UR JUBS crowd is ridiculous. They didn't take your jobs. They took the jobs from the poor people you mock. The hypocritical thing is that the DEY TOOK UR JUBS people turn around and complain about their jobs being outsourced to India or China.
That is really and nice written and useful to us.
what a post ..... every one like this...
potatoes is good to harvest for fatty....
