Walker and Moskos Visit Second Life
Reason contributor Peter Moskos and I will appear tonight on Virtually Speaking, a talk show conducted in Second Life. The topic: civil liberties in the age of Obama. I made a 2nd life account; the first store I stumbled into sold furniture that allowed people to position their avatars in various sexual poses depending on where they clicked the furniture. And my gf told me that this whole thing wasn't an excuse for having cybersex with strangers...
I'm currently taking a break from online worlds, but I fully expect to go back this winter.
SL is great for music. There are a ton of musicians performing live in world.
So it's pretty much a certainty that AnonBot will be calling in with a comment, right?
